Our client, Shoprenter – a member of the Innonic Group and a leading SaaS-based e-commerce platform provider in Hungary – has sold a majority stake to IAI (IdoSell), the market-leading Polish e-commerce SaaS provider. IAI’s customers generate a gross merchandise value exceeding €3.5 billion annually. The transaction was supported by MCI Capital, the leading technology focused private equity fund in Central and Eastern Europe, managing approximately $550 million in assets under management.
Deal rationale
Shoprenter sold a 51% majority stake to the MCI backed IdoSell in order to leverage strategic synergies and strengthen their position in the regional e-commerce market.
