Our Client, Parkl, a digital mobility solution provider for the commercial real estate and office building segment has produced an impressive growth between 2018-22 (CAGR 152%). They offer „no hassle”, fully automated parking and e-mobility services to 400+ business partners, operating over 700 EV charging points. With sustainability goals driving demand in the real estate sector, Parkl's intelligent parking and electric charging systems also contribute to reaching corporate #ESG goals. In 2024 they have closed a 4 million EUR PE transaction with Lead Ventures. This fresh financing is primarily aimed to accelerate the international expansion of the company and the consolidation of the cap table.

Deal rationale

Parkl, a disruptor of both in proptech and e-mobility seek to become the leader in corporate mobility, extending its presence in the entire Central and Eastern European region. The funding was primarily intended to accelerate the company’s international expansion, enhance digital mobility solutions, and advance corporate mobility, smart parking, and electric vehicle charging systems. The complex private equity deal’s primary aim was to support the dynamic growth strategy of the founders and the management team, providing fresh capital, as well as consolidating the cap table, allowing some early investors to exit.

Absolvo's contribution

Our team delivered end-to-end advisory services throughout the transaction, including advising on growth strategy , thorough market research, assessing the company’s strengths and opportunities, also several growth routes. During the preparation for the transaction, Absolvo contributed to the Business and financial planning, preparation of investor documents. A significant part of the transaction was engagement with potential investors, aligning diverse interests between angel investors, the management and the new investor, negotiation and evaluation of term sheets and investment agreements, and coordination of the signing and closing, and other deal related tasks.
