The company was acquired by Websupport, part of Loopia Group, a private equity-backed (Axcel) Swedish firm and one of Europe’s largest domain and hosting service providers. Loopia serves over 290,000 customers across multiple countries, generating more than €70 million in revenue.

Deal rationale

Loopia pursued an ambitious acquisition strategy to drive rapid expansion in the CEE region while reinforcing its leadership in the Nordic region. The group has acquired multiple companies across Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe, as well as Germany – EZIT and Websupport being one of them. Loopia’s goal was to establish itself as the leading hosting provider in Europe with a strong market presence.
