Deal rationale

The company aimed to drive growth and accelerate its US expansion through this investment. At the end of the day, the strategy proved to be successful, leading to its – 100m USD rumoured - exit in 2018 by US-based One Identity, which serves over 11,000 enterprise clients, including 80 of the Fortune 100.

Absolvo's contribution

Our M&A team provided strategic advisory and M&A / transaction related services to support the shareholders and the management to craft their growth strategy and in securing venture capital financing. Among others, we conducted competitor analysis, market research for expansion,  assessed sales channels, pricing, and marketing strategies through expert interviews and mystery shopping. Based on the findings, expansion priorities, the partner model, and the commercial messaging was refined. During the VC round we supported the founders in negotiations, evaluating offers and investment terms, and the deal execution.
